Adriano is an Assistant Instructor in the Reese lab and his research focuses on determining the helminth-driven long-lasting functional changes in large peritoneal macrophages. Adriano was born in Salvador, Brazil where he received his Ph.D. in Immunology. As a researcher in Brazil, he investigated mycobacterial lipid-induced host cell responses and sought to identify new cell and molecular markers for diagnosis and prognosis of tuberculosis. Adriano enjoys doing outdoor activities as hiking and biking.
